Do I see four?
For the last three nights in a row, Hudson has slept through the night, down after his last feeding at 10:30ish and up around 6:00am. We've seen one night here and there but never three. Here's keeping my fingers crossed we make it fourth tonight...mama is diggin' her sleep.
*Morning Update* Woohoo! Hudson made it four in row, and slept in 'til 7am! This is almost too good to be true.

It took me over nine hours and six trips to the microwave for reheats to finish off two cups of coffee. Thus convincing me I officially earned my motherhood badge today.
Now all those crazy stories and warnings are all starting to make sense...

Friday was our last midwife appointment. It’s official, Laura says we’ve come to the end of our journey together this go-around. We have our healthy beautiful baby boy, and my postpartum recovery looks great, which means our routine of office visits is officially over…and that makes me sad. I truly am going to miss the office staff, the nurses, and the wonderful midwife group, all were so wonderful during this new journey.
Our delivery and the hours leading up to the event were so wonderful. I truly believe Laura’s participation in the day helped make it as sweet as it was. It’s amazing how spending nine short hours with someone during such a wonderful life changing event can leave such a wonderful and unforgettable mark in your life.Dear sweet Laura,
A simple thank you doesn’t seem enough to show our appreciation for all that you did during the delivery of our precious little one, Hudson. Your support, encouragement, honesty and care during that exciting day for Jack and I will be forever treasured. Looking back on the wonderful experience and journey we couldn’t imagine it without you.
Jack and I made the switch to your office mid pregnancy. After each appointment we would both comment how happy we were to have made the change. Now, looking back at the actual labor, delivery and time spent with you during those life changing hours we are forever happy with our decision and feel so blessed you were our ‘go-to’ on the big day.
You are a true treasure, and amazing at what you do. You will forever hold a very special part in our dear little one’s birth day! Thank you again Laura for all the care, encouragement, expertise and fun you brought to our special day. I will forever be grateful! Lots of love Brooke

What a wonderful getaway! This weekend we loaded the car, the diaper bag, treats for all, the breast pump, sixteen bags (okay really only four) the kiddo, and the dog and headed for the mountains.
Laura and Zeus rented the cabin we treated Mom to last Mother's Day again and invited us up to join them. It was a wonderful outing, proving that the little man is a born traveler (regardless of the distance).

Sweet boy, it's amazing how much you've changed, grown and shown us in just three weeks. It been so much fun watching you develop into your little self and show your personality a little more each day.
Just like your daddy, you take your time waking up. You grunt (very loudly) stretch, kick and flail your arm all around. You rub your eyes, grunt some more, stretch a little more and then just when I think you must be done, you start the whole routine again. Some days it can take as long as fifteen minutes before it's safe to say your ready to rock.
We're just start to hear you fuss, and strangely, that has been exciting to see! It's not much, no screams, no tears just a good pouty sad face accompanied by your extra loud grunts. You were so perfect the first three weeks I was beginning to worry a bit. I told Daddy a few days ago I need you to have a good cry so I can practice calming you. Up until now, you've been as mellow as mellow can be, never making a fussy peep, just your sweet small grunts.
You've become more interested in watching things and are drawn to the light. This week your favorite hang out has been looking out the back sliding glass door. If ever you start to fuss I move your chair to the back door and almost instantly your a calm and happy boy.
This has been such a fun adventure so far sweet boy, I can't wait to see all things you show and teach us in the coming weeks! Our first walk around Deep Lake
