Two crazy kids with two year old and one on the way. Enjoying every minute of every adventure.
A walk in the beautiful fall sunshine in hopes of getting things started. Sadly, no such luck. Looks like we are on our way to day seven...
With the sun shinning (today's high in the 70's) and baby brother coming anytime now, we took advantage of the early afternoon hit the pumpkin patch.
A wonderful fall outing!
"Baby brother, you are LATE! Please come soon, I want to give you kisses and share my toys with you."
Mama is starting to get a little (whole lot) restless and bored. The result, I've started randomly decorating Hudson's (and new baby brother's) clothes. I think Jack is starting to think I'm nuts...
Although our little one did not make his grand entrance today, (his due date) the sun was shinning and it was a beautiful day.
I got a little craftin' in, had a wonderful midwife appt., picked up a few new fall wardrobe duds for Hudson and enjoyed a pumpkin ale before calling it a day.
It was a good, good day.
Hudson blows a mean harp.
Little dude reconnected with his harmonica over the weekend and hasn't put it down since. Our little blues rocker.
Maybe just a little bit.
Hudson met baby Phillip for the first time on Friday. If his reaction to his new baby cousin is any indication of how he will receive his baby brother, we might be in serious trouble!
He is absolutely in LOVE with his baby cousin. During our entire visit all he wanted to do was hold, touch, kiss or swing the baby. Not even coaxing with pizza tore the little squirrel away. Oh sweet, sweet boy.
Without a doubt I'm pretty gosh darn blessed with some amazing women in my life. A few weeks ago, our midwife commented that I had some pretty awesome friends (in response to a facebook post Jack made). Jack immediately agreed and followed up by saying that he didn't think I realized how lucky I am and that I shouldn't let my insecurities shy me away and I should spend more time with them. His comment surprised me and hit home hard. How true and right he was. Over the past few years, for some crazy reason I've let me silly self get the best of me and have shied away from putting myself out there and fostering deeper friendships. The hiccups I've had during the last few weeks of this pregnancy have forced me to come out of my shell, and ask a time or two for help. (Such a hard thing for me to do!) Over the last few days, for the first time in a long time, I realized that I truly do have a wonderful circle of AMAZING friends. True friends. Friends I can call on. Friends I can share with. And friends I can get crazy with.
Yesterday afternoon was a wonderful confirmation to that. A few weeks ago, Angie reached out to see if I would be up for a Girl's Day. Just a few friends, no presents, no hoopla, just a day of pampering and fun.
At 11am yesterday afternoon, five crazies pulled up to the house blaring the horn....
Because Lord knows I can't keep a blog updated to save my life, a few of our summer highlights and happenings via the random photos I've taken on my Iphone the last few months..
