Baby's First Halloween

*Announcement*

Sadly, I've all but given up on trying to post on a regular basis. Each and every day I remind myself to upload the photos off the camera from the day before, jot down the day's milestones, just get a few words down to record this special time. But I'm slipping, slipping big time.

The days..no, strike that. The months are getting away from me. So today I thought I would try a new tact in hopes of regular posts. Scratch the big fancy camera, witty attempts at a clever post, or the 'only document the big and best happenings'. Starting today, I'm going to start using my phone to help me document. I'm going to embrace the grainy iPhone pictures and short text and in fifty years thank myself that I at least grabbed 'something' during this wonderful time.

So I present my first shot at the iPhone posts...
Baby's first Halloween.

Yesterday, Hudson and I were hanging out in the pool at Mom's AZ house. Today, we are shopping in down town Sumner bundled up in sweaters and scarves enjoying a beautiful fall day.

Later in the evening, while Jack greeted all the trick-or-treaters, I made a quick pass around the neighborhood with a few neighbors with my cute little ducky and then headed down the hill to have a little holiday cheer with Colette and her family.

6 Months?!

Six months? How can that be?!

This month's developments and excitement include...

You are able to sit on your little bottom and play with your toys without support.

Reaching for objects has been replaced by lunging. iPhones, and t.v. remotes are your FAVORITE. Your fascination with these gadgets is crazy.

You have your two bottom teeth and the doctor says your uppers are starting to come in too (although I can't see or feel them).

Your rookie season six month stats:

19 lbs. (75%)
27 3/4" tall (90%)
Woohoo lil' dude!

You've mastered the ga, da, ba, and ma's.

You're starting to show a little mama separation anxiety. Even quick trips between the bonus room and office have you squealing.

Your digging your solids and dive right in to the action. You want hold the spoon and do it yourself, which leads to veggies covering your arms, legs, face and hair. You talk non-stop through each feeding, you tell all sorts of funny stories that make yourself laugh, which then lead to carrot, pear, and pear splatters all over the place.

You've officially moved into your own room at night. It was so nice having you so close by, listening to you sleep, watching your little chest move up and down, knowing your every stir and move, but it was time and now we watch and listen to you stir via the monitor.

You are amazing sweet little one. You continue to light up our days with your cute little laugh, sweet smile and oh so kissable cheeks.

Look my eyes look even more blue when wrapped up in mom's scarf.

Our Wonderful Begining

Sunday, December 2nd 2007

What a day, I felt like the luckiest kid in the world! We feel so blessed that we were able to share our day with friends and loved ones. It truly was one of the happiest days of both our lives and we loved each and every minute of it!

Our planning process was a whirl wind. Who says you can’t plan the perfect day in three months, and have a blast doin’ it?! I realized during our planning how truly lucky I am to have Jack to stand beside. Our happy day was truly a testimony of team work, love, compromise and countless episodes sittin’ side by side watching WE tv wedding shows.

Small and intimate was our goal...no maid of honor, no best man, no big wedding party, just Jack’s adorable nieces as the flower girls. Our original guest count was not to exceed 50, a comfortable 100 graced us with their presence. It was intimate, warm, exciting…it was the best day we’ve shared together.
