Playing Catch Up

Oh my goodness! Where have the days gone? Where have the weeks gone? I was shocked the other day when Jack pointed out that it had been over a month since my last post. Over a month?!

Sooo much has happened in the last few weeks I can hardly believe it.

Marked at the very tip top on my to-do list is a little game of 'Fill in the Blanks'. Somehow, some way I'm going to make that happen and fill in all the fun details of the last five weeks, but until then a quick snippet of the excitement we've seen...

Baby’s first Fourth of July!

>> Monday, July 5, 2010

In typical Northwest fashion it was a mid and overcast Fourth. The Fourth fell on a Sunday this year so it was a busy, busy weekend filled with all sorts of fun.

Because the little boy is growing at a crazy pace, and I’ve sort of falling behind on the picture taking detail, so we took some time out of the morning for a little picture taking fun.

Sweet little boy is cracking me up more and more. His consent smiles just melt my heart.

Saturday the 3rd was our dear friends Corbin and Melody’s ten year wedding anniversary party (a complete surprise to Melody). When Corbin asked if we could be the official decorators we jumped at the opportunity and made a fun day of it at the park.

Little buckaroo was an absolute champ the entire time overseeing the assembly.

It was an absolutely wonderful party. So so sweet of Corbin to organize and host.

Check out Melody’s wonderful recap of the day’s fun here.

Sunday the Fourth we walked down the hill, with the watermelon strapped in the stroller down to Colette and Zack’s . I was a fantastic laid back afternoon with fun peeps, great food, and silly stories.

Our Wonderful Begining

Sunday, December 2nd 2007

What a day, I felt like the luckiest kid in the world! We feel so blessed that we were able to share our day with friends and loved ones. It truly was one of the happiest days of both our lives and we loved each and every minute of it!

Our planning process was a whirl wind. Who says you can’t plan the perfect day in three months, and have a blast doin’ it?! I realized during our planning how truly lucky I am to have Jack to stand beside. Our happy day was truly a testimony of team work, love, compromise and countless episodes sittin’ side by side watching WE tv wedding shows.

Small and intimate was our goal...no maid of honor, no best man, no big wedding party, just Jack’s adorable nieces as the flower girls. Our original guest count was not to exceed 50, a comfortable 100 graced us with their presence. It was intimate, warm, exciting…it was the best day we’ve shared together.
