Lil' Buster's First Baby Shower

>> Monday, February 1, 2010

Saturday was my first Mama-To-Be Baby Shower. It was a wonderful afternoon spent with family and close family friends. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated!

Lil’ Laura (Mom and Carolyn) did such a wonderful job with everything, the decorations, the food (mmm...the cupcakes), and the games. Call me crazy but I LOVE games. We played ‘Draw Your Best Baby’ (on top of your head, no peaking), Guess My Belly Measurement, and Gift Bingo (each gift was numbered as it arrived, everyone filled out their own BINGO card, and I called the numbers on the gift as I opened them). While the party was winding down and the few die hards were still in party mode we also played Baby trivia, fun too.

We received so many wonderful gifts, lil’ Buster is going to be the best dressed kid for sure! It was an absolutely wonderful afternoon!

Laura, Erika, and crazy me
Having Erika join us all the way from Finland, (and Lyn from AZ) was such a wonderful treat. Although the circumstances were not the greatest (Uncle Denny had major surgery on Thursday), it was so good to see her. Love ya cous'!

Our Wonderful Begining

Sunday, December 2nd 2007

What a day, I felt like the luckiest kid in the world! We feel so blessed that we were able to share our day with friends and loved ones. It truly was one of the happiest days of both our lives and we loved each and every minute of it!

Our planning process was a whirl wind. Who says you can’t plan the perfect day in three months, and have a blast doin’ it?! I realized during our planning how truly lucky I am to have Jack to stand beside. Our happy day was truly a testimony of team work, love, compromise and countless episodes sittin’ side by side watching WE tv wedding shows.

Small and intimate was our goal...no maid of honor, no best man, no big wedding party, just Jack’s adorable nieces as the flower girls. Our original guest count was not to exceed 50, a comfortable 100 graced us with their presence. It was intimate, warm, exciting…it was the best day we’ve shared together.

Come Take a Peek!
