Twenty Four Weeks

Home again home again! Holy smokes what a whirl wind week! Thank goodness we had the weekend to catch our breaths and get ready to jump in to the work week and holiday season. Work for me was out of control busy...I learned late Monday afternoon I would be responsible for putting together a special holiday luncheon for 525+ on Friday. With lots of luck, long hours and help the party was a success.

Sadly my scratchy throat in Chile followed me home, and has turned into a full blown cough and cold. Gosh it’s no fun being sick and not able to take anything strong for it. Sudafed is on the safe list of meds, but I’m afraid what I have is a little too big for the tiny red pill. Sadly Friday’s 11 hour day kicked my butt and I was hurting unit on Saturday - crawl back in to bed exhausted.

I had my 23 week appointment on Tuesday. It was a very quick in and out appointment. Everything looked good and on track. The highlight of the appointment came while on the scale (the most unlikely of places). I was SHOCKED, absolutely shocked to learn that I had only gained five pounds this month. All those dinners, and desserts, and more desserts followed by more goodies and only five pounds?! Those stairs must have paid off. That brings my total gain so far to nineteen pounds.

Yay!!! I neglected to mention how adorable you looked when we saw you guys!! You look really great! Glad you guys had a good time! It's so neat you were able to have that time together before your sweet little boy makes his debut.

When the boys go see their movie, you should come over and hang out! Of course, I may put you to work...don't worry nothing strenuous, just baby holding : )

Our Wonderful Begining

Sunday, December 2nd 2007

What a day, I felt like the luckiest kid in the world! We feel so blessed that we were able to share our day with friends and loved ones. It truly was one of the happiest days of both our lives and we loved each and every minute of it!

Our planning process was a whirl wind. Who says you can’t plan the perfect day in three months, and have a blast doin’ it?! I realized during our planning how truly lucky I am to have Jack to stand beside. Our happy day was truly a testimony of team work, love, compromise and countless episodes sittin’ side by side watching WE tv wedding shows.

Small and intimate was our goal...no maid of honor, no best man, no big wedding party, just Jack’s adorable nieces as the flower girls. Our original guest count was not to exceed 50, a comfortable 100 graced us with their presence. It was intimate, warm, exciting…it was the best day we’ve shared together.
